You can also exercise every day by swimming, cycling, jogging, and taking aerobic exercises as they are effective for strengthening the digestive tract. 


You can also chew on a ginger root or peppermint leaf just after your meal to help relieve stomach pain caused by gas. Chewing on these herbs can also help prevent gas formation in your stomach. 


Some foods may cause gas as well as lead to indigestion. Well, if you frequently suffer bouts of gas and bloating, you need to avoid certain foods. Such foods include high-fat products and dairy products like milk, butter and cheese. But you can consume yoghurt as it is good for the digestive system. Foods like legumes, beans and vegetables with high fiber content can cause bloating and therefore should be avoided or used sparingly until you are more used to them.  Similarly, avoid eating fruits that are rich in fructose, bananas, cucumbers, onions, and artificial sweeteners. 


Other home remedies to help relieve your gas or bloating condition involve making changes to your lifestyle and using herb and spice remedies. In your lifestyle changes, you should eat several small meals every day rather than 2 or 3 large meals so that you reduce excess gas that builds up in your stomach.

 Avoid or minimize habits such as chewing gum, drinking carbonated drinks, drinking through straws, and smoking as these activities may swallow air and lead to gas formation. You should also not wear tight-fitting clothes because they compress your abdomen and increase stomach pain. Instead wear loose-fitting clothes to reduce pain caused by gas. 


A number of herbs and spices can also be good home remedies for gas and bloating problems. You can eat Cardamom seeds and cloves as they help speed up digestion and get rid of gas. Coriander can help ease the movement of food in your digestive system and this eases bloating or flatulence. You can also eat Fennel seeds with gassy vegetables to help you with digestion. You may also relieve gas with peppermint, ginger, cinnamon, or chamomile teas after your meals. 


If you are troubled by gas, drink a lot water as it can help flush out undigested food. This is a simple yet effective method of relieving pain due to indigestion and bloating.
